Hortisculptures installations simultaneously combine the flowing organic designs of plant life and sculpture within a quality work of art that reflects the natural environment, creating a unique and timeless space in which to immerse in nature, relax, recharge, and draw energy. In this way Hortisculptures creations make a unique, interactive central feature for any event or permanent design installation.
All sculptures and gardens are created with the intention of raising awareness of the beauty of the delicate rare habitats from which their inspiration is drawn.
Hortisculptures gardens can also be created on a more permanent basis to individual tastes by commission.
Developing a unique creative talent through his degree in Fine Art, subsequent Blacksmithing Training, and Horticultural Studies with the RHS, Peter Little has evolved the concept of ‘Hortisculptures’. His broad and practical training has combined with a deep sensitivity for the natural environment to create stunning gardens, sculptures and artistic installations.
Based in West Cork, Ireland, Peter has created projects at major events and festivals internationally for the past 7 years. His work ranges from small-scale, intimate garden creations to permanent landscape projects for private or public spaces.
Hortisculptures is about the melding of artistic disciplines and functionality, through sensory experience and subtle narrative embracing science, history and folklore and addressing from a positive angle our relationship with the natural environment in the world in which we live.
All Sculptures and Gardens are created with a message of respect for the natural environment, accompanied by solutions for us to enjoy and work symbiotically with biodiverse landscapes, and with the intention of raising awareness of the beauty of the delicate rare habitats from which inspiration for the designs are drawn.
I aim to improve and restore the landscapes in which we implement designs with careful observation of local ecology and natural systems with a view to sustainability.
